United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant discussed efforts to increase the amount of humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
Blinken underscored the importance of de-escalating tensions in the region, whilst also discussing ways to bolster Israel's security. The two also held talks on furthering negotiations that would ensure the release of Hamas-held hostages.
They touched upon the efforts required to enable an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
