United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Wednesday during a press conference that there is a "strong proposal on the table right now for a ceasefire," however, the question is whether or not Hamas will take it.
"Does Hamas want to end the suffering that it has provoked? The question is there, but I can tell you that we are intensely engaged every single day, almost every single hour, to see if we can get a ceasefire agreement that would get the hostages out, get more aid in and create a pathway for a more lasting secure solution," Blinken detailed.
He noted that the hostage question remains in focus.
