Blinken: Taiwan concern for entire world

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday in an interview with MSNBC that Taiwan issue is a concern "for virtually the entire world."

"You've got 50% of the commercial container traffic going through that strait every single day. You've got 70% of the semiconductors that the world relies on ... made in Taiwan. If there were to be a crisis of China's making over Taiwan, and you took that offline, you'd have a global economic crisis," Blinken explained.

The US official underlined that the differences between China and the island of Taiwan need to be resolved in a peaceful manner.
