Bank of Japan (BoJ) Governor Kazuo Ueda mentioned on Wednesday at a press conference that while Japan's economy is recovering "moderately," some "weakness" is still seen.
Regarding the bank's monetary policy, Ueda remarked that the BoJ plans to "keep adjusting the degree of easing if the economic and price outlook is to be realized." He went on to say that uncertainties surrounding the country's economy, prices, as well as global trade policies, "remain high."
Talking about wages, Ueda said that the wage trend "is in line with the outlook," adding that "the strong momentum of wage hikes is spreading to smaller companies."
