Boeing deliveries drop 36% in Q1

EPA-EFE/STEPHEN BRASHEAR

The Boeing Company reported on Tuesday that its total airplane deliveries reached 83 in the first quarter of 2024, representing an annual decline of 36% compared to 130 registered in the same period in 2023.

In the latest data updated by the company on the orders and deliveries, it disclosed that 67 Boeing 737 Max airplanes were delivered, 13 aircraft of the Boeing 787 model and 3 of the Boeing 767.

The decrease showed a possible effect of the Federal Aviation Administration audit that have targeted the company after an Alaska Airlines aircraft suffered a partial fuselage blowout, forcing an emergency landing.
