The Boeing Company announced on Tuesday in a statement that it was in contact with Singapore Airlines after an incident on a flight from London Heathrow to Singapore left one individual dead and numerous people injured.
"We stand ready to support them. We extend our deepest condolences to the family who lost a loved one, and our thoughts are with the passengers and the crew," the company wrote.
Earlier, the Singapore-bound Boeing 777-300ER was hit by extreme turbulence, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing.
