Booking Holdings Inc. reported on Thursday that its total revenues reached $7.34 billion in the third quarter of its fiscal 2023, rising 21% from the same timeframe a year ago.
Gross travel bookings stood 24% higher and hit $39.8 billion, while operating income surged 21% year on year to $3.1 billion in the third trimester. Net income per diluted common share was $69.8, soaring 66% from the third three-month period of fiscal 2022.
"We are pleased to report record quarterly room nights, gross bookings, revenue, and net income driven by a strong summer travel season," CEO Glenn Fogel commented. "We are encouraged by the resilience of leisure travel demand, and we remain focused on executing against our key strategic priorities, which helps position our business well for the long term," he added. Booking's shares dropped by 4.88% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
