Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas was faster than his British teammate Lewis Hamilton on Saturday at Silverstone Circuit. The Finn claimed his fourth poll position in the season and tenth in total by clocking 1 minute and 25.093 seconds or just 0.006 less than the second-ranked competitor at the British Grand Prix, who took the four consecutive poles before today.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was next, coming in just before Max Verstappen of Red Bull. Hamilton won at the 5.89-kilometer track in Northamptonshire five times and tops the standings with 197 points. Bottas is second with 166.
