Men detained by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will allegedly be held in a number of federal prisons around the US, ABC News reported, citing a memo of understanding between the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and ICE.

"ICE shall only place detainees at institutions designated by the BOP and may not place detainees at institutions without specific authorization by BOP," the agreement reads. Additionally, it states that ICE must have a minimum of two officers at every BOP facility used for housing ICE prisoners.

The memorandum states that the facilities that will house the detainees are the Federal Detention Center in Miami, the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, the Federal Correctional Institution in Atlanta, the Federal Correctional Institution in Leavenworth, Kansas, the Federal Correctional Institution in Berlin, New Hampshire. The BOP will not house women detained by ICE.
