CEO of Kohl's to leave company

Kohl's Corporation announced on Tuesday that Michelle Gass will step down as chief executive officer and member of the board of directors on December 2.

Gass first joined Kohl's in 2013 as chief customer officer and became the company's CEO in May 2018. Director Tom Kingsbury will work as interim CEO from December 2 until Kohl's finds a permanent replacement for Gass, the department store chain explained.

Company shares increased 6.93% in the premarket in light of the announcement.
