South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol (pictured) rejected on Thursday the resignation tendered by Army Chief of Staff Park An-su. Park offered to step down after revealing he was supposed to be in charge of imposing martial law proclaimed by Yoon on Tuesday.
"Yoon stressed the need for stable military operations amid the grave security situation and urged the Army chief of staff to fully focus on his duties," the presidential office said, according to the South Korean news agency Yonhap.
