United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that his country is considering the possibility of recognizing a Palestinian State, BBC reported on Tuesday.
According to the media outlet, Cameron noted at the Conservative Middle East Council meeting that the Palestinians need a political perspective to advance toward peace in the Middle East. He added that the UK should be responsible for determining what a Palestinian state would look like.
In addition, the secretary stressed that London and its allies would focus their efforts on resolving the issue of the recognition of a Palestinian state in the international community and relevant organizations, including the United Nations. "That could be one of the things that helps to make this process irreversible," he was quoted as saying.
