Canadian Prime Minister-elect Mark Carney will make his first trip abroad in that capacity to the United Kingdom and France, The Globe and Mail reported on Thursday, citing two people familiar with the matter.
The sources said that Carney will visit London and Paris some time next week. They did not specify who he will meet with and if one of those people will be British King Charles III, who is also the monarch of Canada.
Carney's visits to Europe will come after United States President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on certain goods coming from the UK and the European Union.
