Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President and Chief Executive Officer Mary Daly said on Wednesday that the "case" for raising the federal funds rate by 0.5 percentage points "is now complete."
"The economy is resilient, it can handle these adjustments," she told reporters after her speech at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, according to The Wall Street Journal.
She also echoed similar statements from some of her colleagues that the reduction of the Fed's balance sheet could be announced next month.
