Israel carried out new airstrikes in Syria's Daraa governorate, causing an unspecified number of casualties, according to the Quds News Network and the Palestinian Information Center.
The Syrian foreign ministry said earlier that Israel carried out airstrikes in five different areas, resulting in "near total destruction" of a military airport in the central Syrian province of Hama. The ministry also said that the strikes injured civilians and military personnel.
"In a blatant violation of international law and Syrian sovereignty, Israeli forces launched airstrikes on five locations across the country," the ministry said. "This unjustified escalation is a deliberate attempt to destabilize Syria and exacerbate the suffering of its people," it added.
