Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu described on Wednesday his meeting with his counterparts from Russia, Iran, and Syria, Sergey Lavrov, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and Faisal Mekdad, respectively, as constructive and effective.
Speaking to reporters following the ministers' summit in Moscow, Cavusoglu said the four countries reiterated their support for Syria's territorial integrity and the need to fight terrorism there. He also expressed Turkey's hope of continuing the negotiations.
Earlier this week, Cavusoglu said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad could meet later this year after the summit in Moscow.
