Ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas are allegedly making "positive progress," Sky News Arabia reported on Thursday citing an Egyptian official source.
The militia was set to provide its response to the Israeli counterproposal earlier this week. Namely, Egypt put forward a deal that urges the Palestinian militant group to release 33 hostages that have been kept in the Gaza Strip since October 7 in exchange for a pause in hostilities in the enclave.
United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed on Wednesday that "now" is the time for Hamas to agree to the proposed ceasefire deal without further delays or excuses.
