Alex Chalk has been chosen to replace Dominic Raab as the United Kingdom justice secretary, The Times' political editor Steven Swinford reported on Friday.
According to the report, Chalk, who currently serves as minister of state for defense procurement, is currently in Downing Street 10 with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and is set to be officially appointed soon.
Raab resigned earlier in the day over the conclusions of the inquiry into allegations of bullying against staff members but maintained he did nothing wrong and claimed this "inquiry has set a dangerous precedent" by "setting the threshold for bullying so low."
