Job cuts in the United States observed a monthly decline of 21% to decrease from 25,810 recorded in July and reach 20,485 in August, Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc. stated in its report published on Thursday.

On an annual level, the figure rose by 30.3% compared to the same month in 2021. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 179,506 job cuts have been made.
