Chile recalled its ambassador to Israel, Jorge Carvajal, in response to Israel's perceived violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza, Chilean President Gabriel Boric announced.
Boric expressed his strong condemnation and deep concern about Israel's ongoing military operations, which he believes result in "collective punishment of the Palestinian civilian population."
He highlighted that these actions, marked by a high number of civilian casualties, predominantly among women and children, do not adhere to fundamental norms of international law. "Chile strongly condemns and observes with great concern that these military operations," Boric said.
