Chinese Premier Li Qiang stated on Monday that China's relationship with Australia is "on the right track," following his meeting in Canberra with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, The Star reported.

"In less than one year Prime Minister Albanese and I have met multiple times and exchanged visits to each other's country," the highest-ranking Chinese official to visit Australia since 2017 said, adding that this serves as proof that the relationship between the two countries "is on the right track of steady improvement and development."

Li stressed that he and Albanese had a "candid exchange of views on some differences and disagreements." During his visit on Monday, he announced that China will include Australia in its list of unilateral visa-free countries.
