Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng (pictured) on Thursday met with Nvidia Corporation CEO Jensen Huang in Beijing, Xinhua News Agency reported.
During the meeting, He called on all American companies, including Nvidia, to expand their presence in the Chinese market, stressing that China is a fertile ground for foreign investment and trade. Meanwhile, Huang noted that Nvidia aims to expand its business in China in order to make a positive contribution to economic and trade cooperation between Washington and Beijing.
Recently, the US imposed restrictions on Nvidia's AI-based chip exports to China, and the company said it expects to lose $5.5 billion in sales due to this decision.
