China's car sales jump 27.4% in November

The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) revealed on Monday that the retail sales of passenger vehicles in the country reached 2.97 million units in November, surging by 27.4% compared to the corresponding month a year before.

On a monthly basis, the sales of passenger vehicles went up by 4.1%. The sales of new-energy vehicles skyrocketed by 30% annually to 1.03 million units. From January to November, new-energy vehicle sales saw a 36.7% year-over-year growth, totaling 8.3 million units.

The overall sales of passenger car sales are expected to rise 4.4% year-on-year, reaching a total of 25.8 million units next year, China Automobile Data Energy Strategy Research Office Director Chen Chuan said earlier today.
