China's commerce minister to meet US officials next week

Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao (pictured) is expected to meet with United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, embassy officials told reporters.

"This provides an opportunity for the two countries to engage in dialogue through bilateral, regional and multilateral channels to address their respective concerns in the economic and trade interests," a counselor in the embassy’s economic and commercial affairs section, Wang Hongxia, shared.

Previously in the month, high-ranking officials from Beijing and Washington held a meeting in order to discuss key issues between the two countries.
