China's manufacturing PMI shrinks to 50.1 in January

China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI) for manufacturing landed in the expansionary territory in January, according to a report released on Monday by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP).

The data, compiled by the NBS, showed the headline figure at 50.1, above the neutral 50, which marks an overall production decline in the sector. However, the figure decreased compared to last month's 50.5.
