The Chinese trade surplus landed at 2.48 trillion yuan (~$368.7 billion) in the first half of 2021, the country's General Administration of Customs said in a press conference on Wednesday.
Exports rose by 13.2% year on year, while the imports saw an increase of 4.8% on an annual basis, the yuan-denominated figures showed. The agency also noted that saw a recovery in foreign trade in May and June, but that the international economic landscape still holds uncertainties.
The June-only figures are set to be released later on Wednesday.
