China's trade surplus rose to $95.27 billion in October up from $81.71 billion in September, beating expectations, the country's General Administration of Customs said in its report published on Thursday.
Exports jumped by 12.7% compared to the same month in the previous year in dollar terms. Meanwhile, imports declined by 2.3% year-on-year.
In local currency, the trade surplus came in at 679.1 billion yuan. Exports saw an annual increase of 11.2% and imports fell by 3.7%.
