United States Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe (pictured) claimed on Thursday that "China poses the greatest threat to America today, and the greatest threat to democracy and freedom world-wide since World War II."
In an opinion article he wrote for the Wall Street Journal, he asserted that "many of China's major public initiatives and prominent companies" are actually "a layer of camouflage to the activities" of the ruling Chinese Communist Party.
"China robs US companies of their intellectual property, replicates the technology, and then replaces the US firms in the global marketplace," Ratcliffe stated, referring to Beijing's alleged policy as "rob, replicate and replace."
