China, S. Korea 'maintain communication'

Beijing and Seoul are maintaining communication in an effort to promote healthy and stable bilateral relations, the Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Mao Ning (pictured) told reporters on Wednesday.

Mao did not provide any additional information concerning the high-level exchanges between China and South Korea.

Her remarks came amid South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's visit to Washington DC and following his first meeting with his United States counterpart Joe Biden.
