Billionaire Elon Musk's spacecraft company SpaceX kicked off its Bandwagon-1 mission on Sunday, the first in a new series of rideshare flights.

The Falcon 9 rocket, carrying 11 satellites, including a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite for South Korea, was launched from the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The launch marks the 14th successful lift-off of the first-stage booster supporting the flight.

The Bandwagon program signals a shift to mid-inclination orbit launches as opposed to the sun-synchronous orbit destinations of the company's previous 10 Transporter rideshare missions.
