China hopes US senators' visit will help improve ties

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that Beijing "welcomes" the upcoming visit by a United States Senate delegation that will be led by US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

"We hope this visit will contribute to a more objective understanding of China in the US Congress, increase dialogue and communication between the legislatures of our two countries, and add positive factors to the growth of China-US relations," the spokesperson added.
