China reported a new infectious disease caused by a tick-borne virus that has infected at least 67 people in the country while seven people died.
Medical experts claim that the virus identified as "Severe fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome" or SFTS virus could be transmitted from ticks to humans through tick bites.
According to Global Times, a woman belonging to Nanjing, Capital of Jiangsu Province reported symptoms such as fever, coughing, leukocyte number decline and blood platelet inside of the body.
