China sends new remote sensing satellite to orbit

China sent a new remote sensing satellite called Yaogan-42 02 into orbit aboard a Long March 2D rocket on Sunday, Xinhua reported.

The rocket was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the Sichuan province.

Today's launch marked the 517th mission of the Long March rocket family.
