Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday that China will employ "resolute measures" if the United States tightens semiconductor export restrictions. According to reports, the Biden administration will likely announce later today that it is banning US companies from exporting key tech components to as many as 200 Chinese businesses.

"These actions seriously violate the principles of a market economy and fair competition, disrupt international trade and economic order, destabilize global supply chains, and ultimately harm the interests of all countries," Lin said, accusing the US of "overstretching" measures related to its national security.
