China's Foreign Ministry blasted the submarine nuclear program, established by Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States (AUKUS), stressing that such an agreement will harm peace and stability in the region, the ministry's spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Tuesday.
"AUKUS submarine program is under a typical Cold War mentality, which will only stimulate an arms race and sabotage international nuclear non-proliferation system," the spokesperson underlined during a press conference.
The ministry's spokesperson warned that the three countries have "gone further down a dangerous road," accusing Washington, Canberra, and London of completely disregarding concerns of the international community.
