Chinese vice premier and recently-appointed head of the Central Financial Commission, He Lifeng, will meet with United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen this week, Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Wang Wenbin confirmed on Monday.
The key person for Beijing-Washington economic and trade affairs is expected to travel to the United States from November 8 to 12 upon the formal invitation of the Treasury secretary, the spokesperson noted.
The meeting between the two officials comes ahead of the two-day Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit, which will be held in San Francisco starting on November 14.
