Stellantis-owned carmaker Chrysler will recall 215,246 vehicles in the United States over issues with the electronic stability control system, service brakes and power train malfunction, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said.
According to the NHTSA documents, the recall of 215,032 units of 2022 Dodge Durango and Ram 2500 and 3500 vehicles is done after detecting that the control module of the antilock braking system (ABS) "may disable the electronic stability control system" due to a software issue.
Additionally, 214 vehicles of 2023 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 models will be recalled as "an insufficient weld in the transmission control unit can allow transmission fluid to leak onto electrical components, resulting in a loss of drive power or loss of park function."
