Claudia Goldin wins Nobel Prize for economics

CLAUDIA GOLDIN

The Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences was awarded on Monday to American economist and historian Claudia Goldin "for having advanced our understanding of women’s labor market outcomes."

Goldin is a professor at Harvard University in the United States and serves as a co-director of the Gender in the Economy Study Group at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a US private nonprofit. Among other issues, her work covered women in the workforce and the gender pay gap.
