British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly told Sky News on Sunday he doesn't see Russia's President Vladimir Putin coming to the negotiating table "in good faith," describing Moscow's "wider rhetoric" as "still very confrontational."
"I'm not really seeing anything coming from the Russian side that gives me confidence that Vladimir Putin is entering these talks in good faith," Cleverly said, noting that the United Kingdom wishes to see "real" and "meaningful" negotiations sooner rather than later.
The news comes after the Russian leader in his speech on Friday hinted that Moscow may be ready to strike a deal with Ukraine to end their 11-month-long conflict.
