Colombian president slams Netanyahu over Gaza

Colombian President Gustavo Petro and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued to trade insults over the situation in the Gaza Strip. Petro decided to cut diplomatic ties with Israel on May 1, accusing Netanyahu's government of genocide.

Netanyahu responded on Saturday, calling Petro an "antisemitic supporter of Hamas." Finally, Petro called on Netanyahu to "try to at least stop the massacre" in a message on X, formerly Twitter. "Dropping bombs on thousands of innocent children, women and elderly people does not make you a hero. You remain alongside those who killed millions of Jews in Europe," he added.
