Commerzbank said on Wednesday its total revenues in the third quarter of 2022 stood at €1.9 billion, falling 6% compared to the same period in 2021.
Operating profit for the trimester plummeted 40% year on year to €282 million, while net interest income jumped 44% to €1.6 billion. For the first nine months of 2022, the lender reported revenues of €7.1 billion. Operating profit in the nine-month period was €1.6 billion.
"We have made great progress in the execution of our 'Strategy 2024' and are well on track to achieving our targets. The focus in the next phase will be targeting our revenue potential even more consistently in both customer segments," CEO Manfred Knof stated.
