Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook attended the China Development Forum on Saturday in his first appearance in the country in years. "Innovation is developing very fast in China, and I think it will further accelerate," he said, according to local media.
Cook said that advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence are moving quickly and that we must ensure new technologies are developed responsibly. He stressed the importance of teaching basic programming to new generations so they can "keep up with the world of rapid innovation," adding that Apple will boost its investment in education in rural Chinese areas to 100 million yuan.
