American billionaire investor Leon Cooperman called the Trump administration's tariffs a "mistake" in an interview for CNBC on Monday. He predicted they will impact the economy in the long term, resulting in more inflation and less growth. "You can't correct 30 years of economic mismanagement overnight. He's doing the right things, but he's moving too fast," he said, referring to United States President Donald Trump.
The 81-year-old Omega Advisors CEO estimated that the bottom for the stock markets is not in place yet and advised investors to "sell on strength."
