Major global cryptocurrencies kept the negative trend on Monday, with both Bitcoin and Ethereum sinking more than 7%, as market participants expected what the monetary policy authorities from the United States Federal Reserve will decide on Wednesday.
Earlier during the day, precious metals also reacted seemingly driven by the upcoming inflation report.
Bitcoin plunged 7.28% to $40,604 at 9:37 pm ET and Ethereum nosedived 7.22% to $2,7182 at the same time.
