The DAX, the CAC 40, and the Eurostoxx 50 closed higher on Friday, with investors seemingly encouraged by the possibility of the European Central Bank (ECB) not raising interest rates anymore and even cutting them in 2024.
The DAX closed at 2:00 pm CET 0.30% higher as Zalando SE went up by 1.85%. The FTSE 100 also ended its session earlier today, increasing by 0.14% led by Standard Chartered PLC's expansion of 1.74%. Meanwhile, the CAC 40 stood flat at the close. The Eurostoxx 50 rose by 0.13% as Prosus NV gained 1.07%.
The euro lost 0.09% to the United States dollar to sell for $1.10555 at 5:36 pm CET. A minute later, the pound sterling stood flat against the greenback, going for $1.27333.
