A United States document on China's response to the COVID-19, obtained by the Associated Press claims the nation's leaders "intentionally concealed the severity" of the outbreak in early January.
According to the news outlet, a 4-page report by the Department of Homeland Security accuses the country of avoiding to disclose information about the virus, as to better prepare their response to the pandemic.
The document states China decreased exports and increased imports of medical supplies in January, which prompted the department to conclude with 95% certainty the changes in the imports of medical goods were not within the normal range.
Earlier, United States President Donald Trump stated US intelligence confirmed to him the coronavirus matter was not brought forward until late January.
