Minnesota's Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party Chairman Ken Martin was elected as the new leader of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Saturday.
He secured 246 out of 428 votes on the first ballot, defeating Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler and several other candidates.
Martin had support from key figures like Representative James Clyburn, while Wikler received endorsements from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as well as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
