Daimler Truck announced on Thursday that its revenue in the third quarter of 2024 stood at €13.1 billion, plunging 5% compared to the same period a year earlier and beating analysts' expectations.
Net profit in the reported period sank 34% year-on-year to €627 million, while its earnings per share landed at €0.77, dropping 32% on an annual basis. EBIT fell by 28% compared to the same quarter of 2023 to stand at €873 million. Meanwhile, group sales in the third trimester plummeted 11% to 114,917 units.
"An important driver in Q3 has been our continued strong performance in North America. The successful turnarounds at Daimler Buses and in Brazil show, that the hard work of the last years is paying off. In the segment Mercedes-Benz Trucks November 7, 2024 Page 2 we still have more potential and we are determined to continue to work to improve our performance," CEO Katrin Radstrom stated.
