Daimler Truck AG reported on Tuesday that its global sales in the first quarter of 2025 dropped 8% compared to the same period a year ago. Namely, German truckmaker sold 99,812 units in the reported three-month period, falling from 109,911 vehicles delivered in the first trimester of 2024. Additionally, the company said its battery-electric vehicle sales declined by 7% year-over-year to land at 759 units.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks unit's deliveries plunged by 18%, with 33,446 units sold, while the Trucks North America unit sold 38,992 vehicles, observing an annual decline of 16%. On the other hand, Trucks Asia's sales rose by 16% in the reported period with 24,772 units delivered, while Daimler Buses saw an 11% jump in sales, delivering 6,206 vehicles.
Daimler Truck's stock was down by 0.37% following the release of the report, to sell for €32.73 apiece.
