Daimler Truck CFO dies

Daimler Truck AG announced on Sunday that its Chief Financial Officer Jochen Goetz "passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in a tragic incident on Saturday, August 5th, 2023" aged 52.

Goetz was a 36-year company veteran and took his "first management position in the Controlling division at Mercedes-Benz Trucks in 2001." After climbing through the ranks in the financial units of the company, he was finally appointed as CFO and became a member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck Holding AG.

He "was decisively responsible for the successful spin-off of Daimler Truck Holding AG from today's Mercedes-Benz Group AG in December 2021," the company pointed out.
